Resumo: | |||||||||||||
This research has as main objective to analyze two points. First, to analyze if there is any social influence in the decision making of young graduates within the context of investments in the financial market through an interview with undergraduate students who invest in the area. Second, a questionnaire aimed at
the public of young graduates in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in order to analyze, through the linear regression model, whether the demographic variables of age, gender and knowledge in the financial market will influence the risk of the public Investment. Thus, the contribution of these analyzes was to identify the role of these variables and better understand the profile of this investor. The results showed that social influence does not play a decisive role in most cases, both in the investment initiative and in the type of asset chosen. In addition, the results obtained with linear regression showed that gender influences risk, however the variables age and knowledge have no influence on risk, in order to be contrary to the proposed theory.
