The present study proposes to diagnose the causes of high turnover of the
bus drivers of the company Viação Andorinha in order to present solutions, quantify
the real cost incurred with the rotation and demonstrate its impacts to the
company. The goal is achieved through interviews with the company s partner
and the human resources manager; Use of theoretical references of People Management
and Organizational Behavior; Scientific articles on turnover; Web sites
about Rio de Janeiro s urban transportation system and a turnover cost calculator
developed by a consulting firm. Viação Andorinha is an urban collective transport
company located in the district of Bangu, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, RJ.
