Resumo:
The following study concerns the influence of authentic leaders on the behavior of individuals in the organizational context. The work analyzes through empirical research if leaders could influence the attitudes and behaviors of workers in the professional environment. In other words, the main objective is to verify if an authentic leader is able to promote organizational citizenship among the employees of a company. With the research carried out, we come to the conclusion that authentic leadership is associated with organizational citizenship, and that such impact is even stronger when individuals have less attitudes of benevolence and, consequently, altruism.
