Resumo:
The photovoltaic energy has experienced the fastest growth in the world s energetic scene recently and yet its portion of the Brazilian energy matrix is negligible despite the great potential of the country. Thus, this study aims to analyze how the photovoltaic sector is inserted in the world and in Brazil and evaluate growing conditions for this market in Brazil. To this end, the study presented the history of solar energy, through its greatest problem, which are the methods of capture and storage. Then, a characterization of the sector was addressed, so the data obtained from the SONDA project could be properly evaluated. From these, the meteorological variables analyzes were carried out and how they are associated with irradiation levels, establishing a parallel with Germany, which stands out for its high involvement in photovoltaics. Finally, the analysis showed a great potential for further investment in this sector of the economy since there are great prospects for its future use and development.
