Resumo:
The oil market today has become one of the main means of investment in Brazil, although in recent years there has been a drop in the prices of a barrel of oil in the world, the current increase in the value of this, brings new opportunities for countries such as Brazil to leverage The GDP, since this market represents around 13 percent of the Gross Domestic Product of Brazil. According to Petrobrás data, the daily production of barrels already exceeds 2 thousand, making the technological need to optimize the extraction becomes even more important. Technology and materials engineering comes year after year studying new solutions to contribute to the high production, recycling, among other aspects that the current market demands. Currently new production materials are developed to bring new possibilities not yet tested, polymers have become a widely used solution, since they provide a different form of analysis. From the twentieth century the polymers began a new reality, making materials such as steel could be replaced in certain situations, maintaining their physical properties in general. In this project, we will analyze the changes undergone by a polymer after aging, since naturally this process happens. Through laboratory-produced specimens, samples will be analyzed by calorimetry, and the behavior of polyamide 12 will be studied by reacting with water at room temperature and with water at 70 degrees Celsius. Our study aims to bring improvements in pipelines for oil extraction, seeking new possibilities for price reduction in production, such as using the recycling process. In the Brazilian petroleum market, most of the extraction is maritime, making improvements to this process highly necessary, since the marine environment needs materials with a longer life span, and that it has a high security for marine life to be Protected.
