MEMS (Micro ElectroMechanical Systems) sensors, based on SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) resonators, offer advantages regarding to interrogation type, dimensions, electrical consumption, cost, among others. In this project, the preparation and characterization of the polymer PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol) will be carried out, which will serve as a humidity sensing element after being deposited on the surface of a SAW resonator. SAW resonators, covered by PVA layers with different concentrations, will be exposed to different relative humidity conditions and the results obtained experimentally will be compared with those obtained by a numerical model.
