This study intends to delve into the collaborative universe, present its main concepts and organizational models, with the objective of presenting a technical analysis of this new trend of consumption based on the perception of the modern consumer. In addition, this study intends to present this model s advantages and disadvantages, its main differences of consumption in comparison to the capitalist economic model, and to highlight the importance of technology and its advances in the last years for the effectiveness of this process. This analysis was completed through a case study supported by a field survey on consumer perception of Airbnb.
