The research theme is condominium insurance, a new type of insurance in Brazil, whose main objective is to guarantee the discharge of debts related to the condominium in cases of death, disability or involuntary loss of employment of the insured, owner or renter of property. This insurance is the result of a partnership between insurance companies and real estate companies, these one offering the service to their clients. The objective of the research was to investigate the adhesion to condominium insurance in Company X, of real estate administration, and to identify with 30 of its clients the factors that facilitate and make difficult the purchase of insurance. The results indicate that the majority of clients interviewed do not adhere to insurance and that this decision is more influenced by the company itself. It is concluded that Company X should change the way it has been providing the service, being more transparent with its clients.
