Resumo:
This research examines the phenomenon of consumer orientation in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and analyzes empirically whether, and at what level, students of a particular Faculty of Business Administration in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, manifest expectations regarding the educational service provided that would characterize them as Consumers. A quantitative research was carried out with 100 students, based on the application of the student-consumer orientation questionnaire (SCOQ), developed and validated by Koris and Nokelainen (2015). Based on the results obtained, the work presents the categories in which the students expectations of being treated as consumers are most clearly expressed, and analyzes its implications on the relation between student X teacher and student X HEI.
