Resumo:
In this project, the possibilities of improvement in the counting of cleaning spheres, whose purpose is the cleaning of the ducts of a heat exchanger, were evaluated. Tests were done through a test bench developed as a Final Project in Mechanical Engineering by PUC-Rio by Kim Carvalho de Oliveira that simulates the injector system of this cleaning process. For the proper functioning of the system, all the spheres inserted must be collected at the end of the process and, for this reason, an opto-electronic system was developed for an automatic counting of the spheres. The objective of this project was to improve the previously developed system for counting the spheres, allowing the operation in very cloudy waters.
