Resumo:
With the increasing demand for electricity, photovoltaic energy takes a big step in the alternative energy industry. After the success in Europe, Asia and United States, the market in South America is in an exponential growth. Brazil has excellent solar conditions for this clean, sustainable and renewable energy. In the present work, a comparative analysis of three different types of photovoltaic technology (Thin Film, Monocrystalline and Polycrystalline) was performed. The installation is located in the Energy Museum, part of the Light Serviços de Eletricidade S.A., Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The installation is equipped with DC-DC converter, by Tigo Energy, which provides online access to the database of each module individually. The system is now operating under non ideal conditions, such as shading and wrong azimuth angle. The proposal of this work is to analyze the performance of this solar system and estimate its performance in ideal conditions.
