Resumo:
This study is about e-commerce in the cosmetics market in Brazil, its implications in the Brazilian retail sector and the opportunities and threats therein. The study addresses a collection variables for which entrepreneurs and investors should pay close attention to when investing in the cosmetics market in Brazil, but specifically when investing in an online cosmetics enterprise. This work also illustrates the varying perceptions of Brazilian respondents about buying cosmetics online in Brazil and the most effective investing strategies including a consideration of Porter s (2001) approach for investing in online enterprises. The study concludes by addressing the challenges of purchasing cosmetic products online and also suggests new studies for consideration and development in this area.
