For some time now the Brazilian football has been played outside the football fields. Football clubs have been standing out for their bad administration. Besides, Brazil is currently under a severe crisis that strikes every single sector of the economy. A deep reform in the structure of the football clubs in the country is necessary to make them stand out not only as holders of memories of glorious days.Under the spotlight for its management professionalization process, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo is the object of this work. The club s management streamlining process, recently implemented, is further understood and analyzed using as a conceptual framework Weber s Bureaucratic Theory, which helps us to understand Flamengo s new management.
