The study intends to synthesize the stakeholder s perception in relation to the obsolescence of white goods. The impressions of the respondents are approached in relation to the refrigerators and washing machines and includes issues from durability to the relationship between manufacturers and environment. The analysis was done using qualitative research, though the interviewing of consumers, technical assistance, technical organizations and an environmental website. According to research result, it is possible to notice that durability is an important factor. However, it does not impact on the purchasing decision, since the consumers prefer buying new products instead of fixing the old ones. In addition, all the respondents believe that the companies are reducing the life cycle of the products.
