The present work aims to identify the degree to which the management of Instituto Desiderata has conformed to the Proposal of Management Quality in Non-Governmental Organizations Evaluation Criteria, as proponed by Cardoso (2008), and which is based on the National Brazilian Quality Award. The initial part of the research was qualitative, wherein use was made of books and publications related to the proposed topic of this work. Following this, a quantitative research phase was conducted, in which the employees of Instituto Desiderata answered a structured questionnaire. The main conclusion drawn from this process was that Instituto Desiderata s management quality reaches very high standards of excellency, according to the Proposal of Management Quality in Non-Governmental Organizations Evaluation Criteria, as proponed by Cardoso (2008).
