Considering the verification of the migration of professionals of the First and Second Sectors to the Third Sector and its growth motivated the analysis of its paid employees. In order to do so, ten professionals from different non-profit organizations were interviewed. In the literature review were analyzed a set of researchers studies led by Hackman and Oldham (1975) on the meaning of work and the Model MOW (1987). Among the results, there is the verification that most of the Third Sector paid employees see meaning in the activities they execute and they consider their current job fundamental to their daily routine, that is, they identify their work as a source of pleasure, personal fulfillment and evolution of life. It is confirmed that professionals are integrated with social result of the organization where they work and, finally, the meaning assigned to work in the sector is linked to social proposal for changing the lives of people in organizations.
