Resumo:
The Human Resources area has been perceived increasingly as an area that can add value to the organization in different processes. The HR consultant is the closer professional of business area to support leaders in subjects that involves people and affects the organization. According to Ulrich (1998) the HR has four papers: business partner, administrative specialist, defender staff and agent of change. Were made a field research in order to understand the paper of HR consultant in a petrochemical plant, and through the results were given suggestion to maximize the strategic paper and improve the others.
