Resumo:
This work has as central objective to analyse the perception that consumers of telecommunications services have about the brand image of the main companies in the sector in the city of Rio de Janeiro. For this, it was studied the literature on consumer perception, consumer memory and brand image and, from this literature, the questionnaire used in the field research was prepared. The results are described and analysed on four items: notoriety; associations/differentiation; perceived quality; and loyalty. From these analysis, the paper concludes the studies about the perception of telecommunications services consumers of Rio de Janeiro and makes recommendations for future works and management recommendations for the four main companies in the city.
