Resumo:
Mergers and acquisitons have become an important tool for the growth of companies in the past few years. 3G Capital, associated with the billionaire Warren Buffet, is the best example of that nowadays. In the last 15 years, the Brazilian trio of investors gained notoriety due to the acquisitions of worldwide known brands and its high values. The most recent was the acquisition of H. J. Heinz Company, in February of 2013, for the value of 28 billion dollars. Thus, the present study tried to understand what is behind these operations, analyzing the finance impact of the restructuring on the company.
