The work aims to make an analysis of research done by the main institution of Internet in Brazil - CGI, regarding access and use of the Internet in Brazil. Annually, this institution publishes extensive data on the Brazilian internet consumption profile (in households and businesses). This paper aims to examine the latest research published related to this issue, to portray the country s internet scene in 2013. In the end of this job, we want to draw a general picture of the Internet in Brazil, with comparisons in relation to geography, devices used, frequency of use, the main types of Internet activities, differences between age groups and social classes.
