This research aims to analyze the meaning of work for people with physical disabilities. The work has been considered an important means of social inclusion of these people in society. Qualitative research was adopted to understanding the production of the senses. Individual interviews with people with disabilities in the labor market were carried out . The results identified that the main way associated with working for the respondents are , in the individual , independence and organizational interpersonal relationships . This work allows us to understand that there is the centrality of work in the lives of all of them, being more related to survival for some and for others to social inclusion.
