Resumo: | |||||||||||||
College senior students and young professionals, who are seeking a
position in a market that gets more competitive everyday, show to be more
selective when choosing a company to work. This study aims to identify whether
Socio-Environmental Responsibility of a company plays a relevant role in
attracting those young professionals to work there. The study was conducted
through the analysis of books and academic research works and the evaluation
of controlled experiments designed to test a few possible hypotheses. In addition,
forms were answered by business undergraduate students of PUC-Rio. Such
forms contained different scenarios and fictitious companies and the data was
treated with the ANOVA statistical test. The results show that Socio-
Environmental Responsibility, even though is viewed by the young professionals
as an important factor when choosing which company to work on, is not as
important as the remuneration packages and the career plans offered by the
Human Resources of those companies.
