Resumo:
This mechanical engineering course project at PUC-Rio, is based on research and specification of the best option for a pair of motors to an electromechanical axial-torsion machine (MTT) in order to make future fatigue multiaxial tests in elastoplastic regime. This machine was designed and built by Dr. Eleazar Christian Mejia Sanchez during his doctoral thesis, which experimentally evaluated models of incremental plasticity, and prediction of fatigue on multi-axial loads. However, it suffered certain limitations due to the used motors, when Dr. Cristian Mejia made his thesis. For its operation, it needs two motors, which one is responsible for generating the axial force, and the other for generating the torque applied to the specimen test. So, it will be making a list of options of gear motors, which enable the machine to operate at full capacity, with the same components (controls, transducers, mechanical jacks, and font) used by Dr. Cristian Mejia. The suggested engines were A28-400 from AmpFlow, the A40-300 also from AmpFlow, the ME0708 from Moternegy, and the T74 from NPC. For each engine, and each application will be a reduction gearbox with a reduction ratio, that will be calculated. It is recommended that reduction gears are from Apex Dynamics Company, for having planetary gears and small backlash, which would favor the control of MTT. It will be presented the advantages and disadvantages of each geared motor, and an assessment will be made to decide which is the best option in order to subsequently make the acquisition of the gear motors pair, and make the MTT become operational for future testing of elastoplastic multiaxial fatigue.
