This paper deals with the options found in the Brazilian textile industry to Chinese competition with a case study of the company Panties Duomo. Chinese products are major competitors of the Brazilian textile industry, due to its low production cost compared to Brazil, which has high tax rates, high interest rates, high cost of hand labor and high social charges. This makes the Brazilian textile industry has the need to use different strategies to stay in this extremely competitive market. It is a bibliographical research, qualitative, complemented by case study for considerations purposes as the phenomenon hereof.
