Resumo:
With the Brazilian economic growth, consequently there was an increase in the number of people in the class A in Brazil. This social ascension of a portion of Brazilians made the appearance of new restaurants in Rio de Janeiro, aiming this class, to reach the necessities of this new demand. The present study seeks to identify, according to the behavior of young consumers, how the decision making process in choosing a class A restaurant in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro happens using the Analytic Hierarchy Process – AHP (Saaty, 1991). This study was realized through a quantitative research, with qualitative aspects, applied to a focus group selected for this work. It was analyzed the criteria of choice in restaurants and new alternatives in this market.
