Resumo:
This thesis intends to identify the key factors that influence consumer behavior as it relates to the purchase of vinyl records. In order to reach that objective, bibliographic and documented references were used, and a qualitative market research was executed in the form of an interview targeted at vinyl consumers and providers. Sociocultural factors that influence vinyl consumption and differences between available media formats were analyzed in order to obtain a better understanding of the subject under discussion. Therefore, it was possible to obtain a clearer understanding for the recent increase in vinyl sales in Rio de Janeiro, and suggest viable business strategies to the players in the phonographic market, especially considering that this is an as of yet unexplored niche market full of potential clients.
