Resumo:
In the present work the Brazilian the climatic behavior during the period of an El Niño event is evaluated. There is also a study to estimate the energetic consequences of such event through analysis of the generation and transmission sectors. A study about El Niño is conducted to show its operations and climatic consequences. It s shown how man is deeply impacting the nature and what to expect in the future, if no action is taken. An evaluation of the energy sector s behavior is made to be possible to estimate the level of major reservoirs in Brazil, considering the climatic consequences of El Niño. For such, a model to estimate the storage of energy in the reservoirs is proposed. Considering the characteristics of the Brazilian territory and the technologies available today, proposals and recommendations are presented at the end of this work.
