Resumo:
According to data released by WHO, smoking is the largest preventable cause of death worldwide, being responsible for killing three million people per year. In Brazil, this drug is responsible for the death of 130,000 people per year. While there are many antismoking campaigns, as well as several actions against it happening in the country, the tobacco industry still easily thrives in the market, mostly through strong marketing strategies, which affect mainly young adults and children. This paper seeks to identify how antismoking actions affect young people in Brazilian society, in order to find effective solutions to combat smoking.
