Development of a passive access control system for hospitals using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. This paper encompasses the design of a complete system and the construction of a working prototype using a MySQL database, a management software developed in C# and an Arduino as the microcontroller along with an Ethernet shield and a RC522 RFID reader.
