The current study makes an analysis of the kind of public that chooses hostels as their mean of lodging during trips. For such, it is analyzed the history of different lodging demands caused by man, helping to understand the needs and preferences of these demands in the contemporary world. Next, it is analyzed the profile and the behavior of hostel´s clients in the city of Rio de Janeiro, trying to discover the reasons and the biggest relevance itens when choosing a hostel. The conclusion features the profile of hostel´s guest, as well as their main needs and issues considered most relevant by them when choosing a hostel facility at the city of Rio de Janeiro.
