Because of the fierce competition in the housing market, it becomes increasingly clear the need for companies to manage the knowledge to create competitive advantage, therefore, the aim of this study is to identify knowledge management tools that contribute to the dissemination of information within the MDL Realty company and reduce the loss of knowledge with the departure of an employee. Was interviewed the management body of the company and the results showed the existence of some specific actions, but without a strategic foundation in the use of existing tools. The analysis also led to the conclusion that it is first necessary to attract the interest of top management to the design of knowledge management work. Finally, we suggest some tools that can meet the need of knowledge retention, which is not performed properly.
