Rio de Janeiro is a city filled with many bars and restaurant all around, specially in the South zone. However, there isn’t a huge variety in terms of what the product and offered services are. This present work aims to study the proof of concept of a new kind of bar in the city of Rio de Janeiro, more specifically in the South zone, as well as understand it’s market and what public they have. The method utilized was the construction of a plotted map from two focus groups. The result indicates that the new concept is perceived as sophisticated and for older people, mostly because of the music style, Jazz. It also provides information about the optical location for the bar, as well as the acceptation of the new concept.
