The burnout syndrome affects professionals worldwide and it is characterized by the process of psychological exhaustion experienced in relation to work. A person who suffers from that feels emotionally drained, with negative attitudes and feelings towards people from work and their professional role, affecting also the organization. Social support has big influence on burnout and can stimulate its development, if negative, or mitigate and even prevent it, if positive. This work has deepened this issue, studying the correlation between the syndrome and support from the team, the boss and the family separately. To this end, it has been conducted a quantitative survey with 90 employees of the IRS of Brazil.
