The paper analyses how a career developement is structured, having as main objetive to identify the factors that constitute on the current model of the company. To fulfill the purpose of the study, it was necessary to identify the critical factors sucess and, therefore, we did a semi-estruted interview, with an HR Professional. The material, transcribed, was subjected to content analysis to identify which are the main categories. It was found that despite the company understand how important the new concepts of contemporary career are not being incorporated to the extent that most aspects related to career plan based on a traditional view. Furthermore, it was found that the current model does not map all its professionals, leaving aside a good part of the company professionals without career plan. However, it is deemed important to emphasize that the company s practice of adopting the plan only for certain career positions leads the company to reduce the risk of failure, since the profile of the professionals included in the plan is known in detail.
