This work is a comparative analysis of the manufacturing process of kraft paper, using recycled paper and using the classical method of manufacturing cellulose, considering environmental and economic aspects. Therefore, a study was done with bibliographical material and carried out with field research in recycled paper mills, in order to ascertain in practice and work processes. From the data collected through field research and literature, this work provides alternatives for both, the manufacturing process of kraft paper for recycling and classic process of manufacturing, making it clear that solutions to the implementation of the recycling process are possible. The companies have also made themselves available to answer an interview, where questions were made in some comparative aspects, since one of the companies produce paper in both ways.
