In this project studies were made on the behavior of ONS maintenance indicators (DISP, TF and TMR) for transmission line and power transformer considering equipment belonging to the Northeast and Southeast regions of Brazil. First it was explained the importance of these indicators in monitoring the quality of maintenance of the Brazilian electrical power system. Then it was presented the main equipment of an electrical power system, the maintenance indicators and their formulas and limits. Descriptive statistics were obtained for such indicators, split by the regions studied. Tentative explanations were then proposed to explain the observed differences between these indicators between the regions. Finally it was developed and proposed a new methodology to define new limits for the indicators studied.
