The following study has as main goal the analysis of whether the presence of brazilian singers/artists in soap opera soundtracks impacts or not the demand for their concerts. This study was motivated by the constant changes that the phonographic and music industries have been through in recent years. In order to reach such goal, there was a bibliographic study for theoretical foundation, a field research to understand the consumer’s behavior facing the influences of brazilian television drama, allowing the observation of their musical habits related to soap opera soundtracks and in-depth interviews to analyze how the process of including a song in a soundtrack and its repercussion occurs. The research presented interesting and surprising results, revealing the importance of a soundtrack to increase the demand for a specific artist, his concerts and songs.
