Resumo:
This paper aims to examine the possibilities that the Internet provides for the dissemination of the work of musicians. Concepts of the areas of technology, marketing and case studies were examined. The focus of the study fell on two platforms: Melody Box and Benfeitoria, representatives of two important virtual tools in the current scenario: social networking and crowdfunding. To complement the study, the author went into the field to interview representatives of these platforms, along with three musicians, ranked among natives and digital immigrants, to understand their use of the selected tools and other digital marketing strategies in order to help their careers inside and outside the virtual environment.
