This study aimed to raise and understand the main reasons that prevent low-income consumers to buy products or services over the internet. In order to achieve that goal, I sought to references on the subject through books and other academic studies related to my research. Furthermore, a qualitative research with scripted interview was conducted with 20 low-income consumers who access the Internet for personal reasons or work. The results obtained herein are important for a better understanding of the concerns faced by most popular social classes when it comes to virtual environment, either from the perspective of consumption or non-consumption, and for new opportunities for studies exploring the theme.
