Resumo:
In this work our goal is to understand e simulate the gas migration in the cement slurry during the cementing process of an annular petroleum well. The phenomenon is potentially dangerous due to the breaching of the gas to the surface – Resulting in a Blowout. The gas migration for the interior of the annulus occurs when the pressure inside the annulus is smaller than the pressure inside the rock formation. Some factors that contribute for the occurrence of this phenomenon are: incorrect density of the cement slurry, which may cause a unbalancing of hydrostatic pressure, excessive loss of the drilling fluids, which causes empty spaces where the gas may fill in. the numeric solution of the governing conservation equations will be obtained through the finite volume technic and the volume of fluid method, using the commercial version of the software Fluent (Ansys). The objective is to analyze the behavior of the gas bubble inside the annulus, such as the factors that may affect its migration.
