Resumo:
Find alternatives to reduce the environmental impact of its processes has become a common goal for many companies. In addition to the growing legal requirements, there is need for organizations to become more eco-efficient and competitive. The search for the most environmentally friendly and has increased production to try these features make possible the balance between the interests of businesses and consumers. This study sought to assess what the main actions of eco-efficiency are being adopted by Brazilian companies. Through secondary data analysis of three lines of business, drawn from research on Environmental Analysis in the years 2007 and 2008, it was concluded that no matter what line of business, large companies have realized the need to act proactively. They are moving away from reactive strategies to pollute and then clean up that dominated the business for many years.
