The world scene marked by globalization is increasingly integrating people
and nations of different geographical areas which highlights a new multicultural
society. With new technological developments and the increasing speed of
information, companies will face more fierce competition across borders where
people of different cultures interact and are mutually influenced. Intercultural
management is a concept that is gaining increasing attention within the
theoretical analysis to help the HR area. It was investigated the professional with
an work experience abroad and it concludes that there is indeed a need to
develop this kind of management showing however, that the Human Resources
department also operates bureaucratically and the support positioned to minimize
the impact of culture shock is not treated with important consideration. It
proposes here a reflective retreat on the benefits of intercultural management
and the needs of their development.
