The objective of this report is to identify the impact after the end of
monopoly reinsurance activity for the insurance company Icatu Hartford S/A. The
characteristics of insurance and reinsurance market in Brazil will be presented
including the legislatives exigency for this new scenery to insurance market and
the result for the Brazilian economy will also be presented in this report.
The results showed that the break of the monopoly is bringing huge
opportunities for Icatu Hartford since the creation the complementary law
126/2007.
