The study intends to show how the market maker industry works in Brazil,
its important job that is giving liquidity to financial assets and taking the major
concentration of the negotiation on few stocks and spread this to all others
stocks. It shows its functions, obligations, regulamentation rules and the liquidity
concept. After that, a statistical model is applied to quantify the impact of this
service and measure its effectiveness.
