With the increasing competition in the ice-cream market in Rio de Janeiro it is
becoming more and more important to know who your customers are, their needs and
expectations. The main objective of this paper is to study the profile and purchase behavior
of consumers of ice cream at Sorveteria Itália Leblon, one of the many franchise stores from
the Sorvete Italia Brand. For such, field study and qualitative research with consumers was
conducted and the following points were analyzed: The profile of customers of sorvete Italia
Leblon, their purchase and personal habbits and local competitors. Finally, I expect that the
conclusions derived from this study will help Sorveteria Itália Leblon improve overall
customers satisfaction and loyalty.
