Resumo:
This study seeks to investigate how are planned, structured and managed the projects for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) co-generation of energy in Brazil from the bagasse of sugar cane, identifying which stages of this process are capable of generating carbon credits. The idea of the CDM is to help facilitate sustainable development of countries, and leveraging resources to projects that contribute to the reduction of greenhouse effect gases and thus meet their limits in the Kyoto Protocol. In preparing this document of the design of the project, they include the methods for calculating the reduction of emissions of the greenhouse effect and description of baseline, in addition to defining the period of obtaining credit. The baseline, qualified and quantified, serves as a reference scenario for the quantification of RCEs, which will be calculated by the difference between emissions of baseline and CDM projects. The job description concludes showing the relationship between the co-generation of energy and generation of carbon credits in Brazil.
