Resumo:
The characteristics of the involvement of the fan with his soccer team and the relationship with the products of the sponsors of the clubs are presented in this study as factors that influes on consumer behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of the involvement of fans with their teams on the results obtained by the partnership between Nova Schin and Flamengo in the year of 2006. It is concluded that the partnership has not achieved the expected results in part because Flamengo`s fans did not change their pattern of consumption in a meaningful way. Still, there are indications that fans of other clubs had a negative attitude on the campaign run by the partnership.
