Resumo:
The behavioral finance arose as a questioning theory to the Modern Finance Theory and has consolidated as a very important factor in the international economic scenario. Among a lot of concepts, the loss aversion has a special featured. A quantitative research was applied based on the Cumulative Prospect Theory with brazilian capital market investors where they demonstrated their behaviors facing winning and losing situations. Besides that, a test was done to compare loss aversion with the factors age, sex and market experience with the objective to understand and test the brazilian investor behavior on his decision making.
