Resumo:
This work presents the modeling of the air cooling system, which receives air from a gas turbine compressor to control the temperature of the turbine rotor. This modeling is based on mathematical models available in the literature and available data from heat exchangers manufacturers. The basic theoretical concepts from which the mathematical models are based on are also presented to help the comprehension of these models. The reasons that justify the extraction and cooling of the compressed air to cool the rotor of the turbine are also presented with the theoretical concepts and the modeling. Finally, this work also presents a computer simulation that was based on mentioned modeling. This simulation was performed in order to obtain values that validate the theory presented in this modeling.
