Resumo:
This paper describes the development of software for the automated detection of defects in gas and oil pipelines through the analysis of data gathered by robots that travel inside pipelines measuring its conservation condition. This automation assists the work of technicians responsible for the analysis of pipelines in search of defects. It reduces the time and effort spent to identify anomalies. To be reliable this software must obtain a recall of 100% of existing anomalies in the pipeline been analyzed, as unidentified defects can cause severe economic and environmental damage. To confirm this percentage of recall, this work presents the results of the comparisons between analysis made by technicians with analysis produced by the software described in this paper.
